| DESIGN NAME: Elovan PRIMARY FUNCTION: Camping Trailer INSPIRATION: Inspired by the awe to nature and wild living through low profile consumption, Elovan camping trailer is created for adventure seekers. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Your own living space, your own amenities and a motor vehicle which has it all, that’s what you call a camper trailer. Elovan solar powered camper is a simple and functional concept yet chic in its look. Whether it is to be used for short leisure activities, vacations or camping or whether you are just interested in having a mobile home for yourself, this camper trailer will make you get pleasure out of nature and life. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Sustainability and functionality form the core of this modern and creative camper trailer, which accommodates two people and is very compact in design. It is wide enough to accommodate a small closet, bedroom with a double bed, kitchen, shower & sink and a toilet. Under the foldable double bed, storage space exists. Folding table on the rear side of trailer is used for dining and seat around and the tent over the table attached to roof of the trailer is fixed to the ground with sticks and rope which has hooks at the end. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Energy is retrieved from the solar panels. It generates electricity to sustain on-board accessories even if the vehicle is not moving. With its dimensions of 3 meters length, 1.75 meter width and 2 meters height, it is designed to fit on the standard trailers. It gives the traveler a sense of comfort and offers features to give greater flexibility and more freedom to interact with fellow neighbors and nature. Molded fiberglass is used as the main material. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Product Dimensions: 3mx2mx1.75m TAGS: camper trailer, solar powered camper, sustainable product, mobile home RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Methodology followed for this project included the aim of improving the existing standards of camping trailers while keeping the cost low at the same time. Therefore, a market research was carried out to specify the advantages and disadvantages of the existing products and solutions. CHALLENGE: The challenge within this project was to realize an electrical caravan that could achieve a high performance.
