| DESIGN NAME: Strech.me PRIMARY FUNCTION: Club table INSPIRATION: Do You know the feeling when you want to put the glass on the club table, but it is to short and you are really streching your back? So why not strech the table to its maximum instead? Inspiration for extendable elements derived from the form of a footstools - my favorite childhood stools which I inherited from grandmother. I remember she was hiding them under our table and bringing them out when needed. This project is my colorfull interpretation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Project is an multifunctional piece of furniture in the urban home - hospitality coffee (club) table that can be adapted to our current needs and wishes, from dimensions to final appearance. The table extension is possible on the left and right, without any metal part or additional mechanisms, from 80 to 150 cm. Both pullout elements can be completely removed from the main structure and independently serve as a versatile spatial elements: vase stand, additional table, bench, bedside table, etc. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the retracted state it saves space. Users are encouraged to interact with the design and to participate in the creative process with rearranging pull-out elements and creating various forms and functions. Pull-out elements are practical solution for extra cups and glasses, also we can move them out of construction and flip upright so our dear guests have two additional stools. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: MDF boards laminated in contrast colors, HPL - High Pressure Laminate and solid wood (oak, ash). NAME: ICE STUDIO d.o.o. PROFILE: Ivana Cvetković Lakoš is running her own multidisciplinary studio " ICE STUDIO ", with focus on design transformation and achieving that one form has multiple use scenarios. During 2013 and 2014 studio has developed several awarded self-initiated concepts: CroEcoSeat (portable cardboard chair to the ground with a backrest was awarded as " Best Marketing campaign Croatian green economy " and Gold medal at the 38th Fair innovation " INOVA "). She also designed HELIA -multifunctional lounger. Studio is placing special emphasis on the development of concepts in the field of innovation, with design moto "work + play". |
