| DESIGN NAME: Lenovo A740 PRIMARY FUNCTION: All in One Computer INSPIRATION: We wanted to create a PC that can be used comfortably by adapting to different user activities. Hence we invented our patented 4 bar linkage mechanism to provide 3 different unique modes for our users. Display mode for traditional desktop usage. 45 degree tilt mode for stable touch usage against table surface. Flat mode for multi-person touch experience, such as gaming or learning. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Lenovo A740 is the world slimmest 27 inch touchscreen multi-mode all-in-one PC. The full aluminum uni-body structure, delivers absolute thinness -4.5mm thick, solid build quality and reduction of mechanical parts amount at the same time. The unique 4 bar linkage mechanism inside the arm synchronize the movements of the 2 hinges on the head and body, providing an ergonomic and comfortable way to switch between different usage modes, setting up a new benchmark for the computer industry. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 654mmx 215 mm x 485mm TAGS: Slim design, ergonomic multi-mode usage, touchscreen, NFC usage, device collaborations RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: The 16:9, 2K display with edge to edge borderless glass screen provides the best ratio, resolution for high quality movies and gaming. Enclosed in the base, is a powerful set of 10W speakers delivering the best sound experience in a small package. Integrated NFC function opens up numerous opportunities with other NFC devices, such as: smartphone collaborations, synchronization and internet payment.
