| DESIGN NAME: Tre Parole PRIMARY FUNCTION: Vase of love INSPIRATION: I was inspired by furniture with smart structures, and the meanings of the numbers of flowers. I also sought an elegant way of presenting flowers, and an aesthetic and architectural combination of geometric forms. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tre Parole is a vase which consists of three metal tubes and an acrylic piece. I sought a simple shape with a smart structure and a way of showing flowers in an elegant way. And presenting three flowers stands for three words, " I Love You". This iconic object suits interiors of houses, shops, restaurants, hotels, and theatres in harmony. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This vase is combined by three pipes and a base in a unique way without any joints. Its structure might look unstable and fragile, but it is actually pretty strong enough, and it doesn't break by being shaken. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Tre Parole was developed in Milan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials: steel, acrylic SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Size: W120 H250 D120 mm TAGS: Product, Vase, Flower, Decoration, Home, Geometric, Simple, Elegant, Aesthetic, Metal, Acrylic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I wanted to bring aesthetics of modern architecture design to an interior accessory. So, I researched about modern architecture design, and I have become interested in its aesthetics of combining simplest geometric forms. CHALLENGE: After I came up with the shape and structure of this vase, I took a long time and explored the materials for it, and I ended up choosing metal pipes and an an acrylic vase that were unexpected for me, but I was surprised by the harmony of aesthetics those materials created and they suit flowers very well. NAME: YU HIRAOKA DESIGN PROFILE: Yu Hiraoka Design is a fresh design brand based in Milan. It was founded by a Japanese designer, Yu Hiraoka in Milan in 2013. The brand has collaborated with several design studios in Italy, and worked on projects for companies in Italy, Germany, USA, China, and Japan through collaborations. The works cover product design, interior design, graphic design, and art direction. In 2015, Hiraoka co-founded Japanese International Design Award and works as a director of the award.
