| DESIGN NAME: The Initiation PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: Zen, the most original voice that comes from the bottom of our heart UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Initiation OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: New value or concept takes time. If we can make old or discarded material useable again and give it a second life, it's also environment friendly, totally a win-win. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in July 2012 in Taipei Taiwan, and finished in February 2013. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: used wood, pig iron, Pandomo, black brick, cement. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Site area: 170 sq.m TAGS: Culture,Purity, Environmental protection RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The combination of new and old construction techniques, like ancient Chinese construction material, green-gray brick meets Pandomo, a whole new reborn material, is being well implemented in this case. CHALLENGE: When the planet is constantly being trashed, the idea of reusing the wasted material is now considered a way out. And If we could all see the idea in a different aspect, the sustainability of natural systems and the environment could be a total win-win solution.
