DESIGN NAME: The Olive Tree
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Packaging for Olive Oil
INSPIRATION: We were inpired by the subtle duality of looking and seeing and leaving something creative for the mind to play with. It highlights the refinement of the product. Straight lines, clear simplistic idea that is synonymous with the Delaire Graff Estate in South Africa.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In this world it is hard to find a design that does not follow the normal trend in packaging. The Olive Tree was designed for famed Laurence Graff whom owns the Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch, South Africa. It needed to represent and upmarket product, in line with what Laurence Graff himself is used to, just the best. When you look at the bottle you almost get the impression the through the clean glass and the golden olive oil in it, you are staring at an olive tree in the distance.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: It is elegant with a cork top.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Product started in Stellenbosch, South Africa in March 2011 and finalised in October 2011.
