DESIGN NAME: Blossom 360
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Lamp
INSPIRATION: The inspiration stems from the shape of the blossom reflecting the narrative of variance and its distinct nature of adaptability and beauty.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Blossom 360 - is a distinct lighting piece allowing with its unique geometry for a visual transformation of light, creating an allure to its surroundings through its individual shape.
Within its unique shape three distinct lighting options are available: top, bottom and side gaps, while still enabling a 360 degrees optional adjustments to its user.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Blossom 360 light fixture consists of three main elements: 1. Stanchion (steel); 2. Shining cylinder (opal); 3. Swivel decorative hood (steel). All its elements within are interconnected by a screw thread system, creating an effect of blossom through light when its decorative hood rotates at 360 degrees.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: In general it takes a few months from idea to 3D model.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Stanchion, swivel decorative hood - steel tubes with an internal screw thread system. Manufactured using laser technologies. Shining cylinder - opal / Plexiglas with an external screw thread system and integrated LED (Cool White) technology.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions: 128 mm (diameter) steel tubes; 120 mm (diameter) opal / Plexiglas cylinder.
Height of the lamp is variable 1260 - 1640 mm.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: An in-depth study of the unfolding flower translates through the aesthetics of design reflecting multiple shades of light.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge of this project was to to balance its functionality and design. The development of straightforward fundamentals for its operations while enhancing its geometry and lighting options in parallel was the most challenging part.
