| DESIGN NAME: Kona PRIMARY FUNCTION: Coffee corner INSPIRATION: Lotus, flowers, shelter, tree branches UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Object creates a cozy place for a cup of coffee in the vast hall of the store. No walls, but you're inside. Depressing, always breaking view, column became a place of attraction. Due to the circle-segment shape, the most valuable retail space saved. Bending elements peeped from a lotus flower, friendly and soft. Natural veneer finish refers to the strict classical deli. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Everything looks so delicious at deli store. Why not to try it right now? There is a special place. Just add your cappuccino and take a sit at your private secluded spot in the midst of people with shopping carts. Sitting here under the dimmed light you can see everyone and everything through these "tree branches" and nothing else matters. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in September 2014 in Tyumen (Russia). It took 4 weeks to complete the project. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Main components was created in MDF, cut in a CNC, veneered by ash. Finished by colored wood wax. Metal panels in powder coating. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Overall dimensions: 2300mm (Width) X 2300mm (Depth) X 2500mm (Height). Column dimensions: 600mm (Width) X 600mm (Depth) X 3100mm (Height). TAGS: Coffee corner, retail design, wood, cafe RESEARCH ABSTRACT: After frequent requests from customers our client began to sell coffee to go just inside the store. We knew it's quite common for many stores abroad, but not common in Russia yet. If you want coffee, go to a cafe, given that one of them is right in front of the store. Communication with customers has shown that many would like to try something new from the baking and confectionery products right on the spot, along with a cup of coffee or tea. The conclusion was simple. We needed a place for this. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was to create a comfortable, cozy place for coffee lovers with a minimum usage of space in the store. In the ideal case, it was necessary to provide a place for the display of goods. NAME: "Galereya Gurme", Deli store PROFILE: "Galereya Gurme" is located in Tyumen, Siberian city in Russia. This is a local private enterprise that compete with national and international food retail chains on the small market of Tyumen. Almost all fight for the price. "Galereya Gurme", uses a completely different strategy. Four years ago it started as up-level supermarket. They have had all features wealthy customers used to have - wide range of delicacy, freshly baked and cooked food, well-trained stuff, 1500 square meters of stylish interior. |
