| DESIGN NAME: FLAMMA PRIMARY FUNCTION: Washbasin INSPIRATION: It is said that the entire universe is created by four elements and combinations of these elements. These four elements represent the four basic energies. Fire, air, water and soil. The flame, which has been the inspiration behind the design, is an irradiating extension of fire. Watching flames energizes and almost enchants one. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: While the wide and simple bowl with smooth surface offers ease of use and maximum functionality,it also provides advantages to the user from the hygiene perspective. This artistic interpretation brought to your bathrooms by this modern, organic and sculpturesque form will help you feel yourself unique. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2014 and finished in October 2014, and was exhibited in Unicera Istanbul exhibition in February 2015 and ISH exhibition in March 2015. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Flamma Washbasin is made of solid surface material, which let the form be more smooth and perfect. Thanks to solid surface technology; the sharp lines, that strengthens the flame effect, have been achieved. Flamma washbasin mould was a combination of seperate semi-moulds. This combination allows more speed and sensitive retouched process. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 600mm x 600mm x 850mm. 2 color options: White, Bronze&White. Drainer included. The water outlet should be from the ground. Built-in or Freestanding washbasin mixer can ben combined with Flamma washbasin. Box packaging with Isvea brand identity. According to the insights, they look for eye-catching and distinctive designs which feel them be perceived as different and incomparable. Also, there is another insight that they feel more close to the brands who cooperate with the designers. According to all these insights and results, "Flamma washbasin" by the signature of "Ömer Faruk Yakupoğlu" and in which all the insights have been realized. CHALLENGE: The challenge was faced in moulding step. The Flamma requires a huge mould according to an ordinary product which seems hard to develop. Afterwards, the idea of developing semimoulds and then combining them come out. By this idea, each semimould developed firstly, merged and retouched sensitively. At the end of all these process, "Flamma washbasin" mould arised as a magnificent sculpture pose.
