| DESIGN NAME: PET PROJECT BY MLA PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pet house INSPIRATION: I was inspired by a house, andI kept it shell and core. we kept the skeleton of the house and roof and with different dimensions and colours, it creates a villages. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is a minimalist and contemporary design for pets. The pet project an be personalised with different roof colours and offers your best friends comfort and protection while still visually with you. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The pet project is made and designed to offer your pets a shelter and their own place. On wheels, it can be moved easily and placed close to you or in their favorite areas. The options of the colours for the roof make it stand out or blend in the main residence. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2014 in Dubai and the first prototype was tested by our mascots John and Fledermaus in September 2014. They havent left their houses since. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Natural Oak structure. The dog house is also on rubber wheels to bee moved anywhere easily. They can be locked when the favourite spot is found. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 3 modules are available for you cat, dog, or others The medium size being the most popular with dimensions of 45 x 60 cm and ceiling height of 55 cm TAGS: pet, shelter, minimalist, house, indoor RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Design is all about details. While we design residential villas and penthouse for owners, the pet house is often left aside. I designed a house for your best friends as well.Contemporary, open space, apparent structures, bright colours for individuality and custom made sizes to fit any shapes and any house pets. CHALLENGE: How to offer your pets a comfortable area, that gives them the feel of being protected and still be close to you and you to be close to them. With our own carpentry factory in Dubai, we are often design bespoke furnitures for specific projects. We wanted to offer the same luxury for all the users of the house, including your pets.
