Everything should be getting old in the world, whatever any object has life or not. Used the old/waste material for recycled the gorgeous thing was the aim of my idea. Inventive up-cycling of household textile waste is essential in order to create an eco-future without sacrificing style. By using the waste of the past to generate a chic look for today, bearing in mind both its lifetime and degradability, it may be possible to care for the environment tomorrow.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Collected raw materials: All of the textiles collected after the household renovation, there were spared textiles within curtain fabric, textile wallpaper and fake leather from the cabinet cover. Fortunately, the wastes were new and trendy for recycled. It was good experimental experiences to used nontraditional fabrics to make are new garments.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Following the sustainable idea, zero waste pattern technique could be applied on pleated maxi skirt and mermaid dress. The pattern was transform form Japanese word “Kimono”, literally translated as “thing to wear”. As a fabric source for up-cycling to provide the pattern based on the straight edges and long, wide, rectangle for straightforward to dismantled. The square form of pattern with minimal cut was inspired by Kimono and applied on pants decoration.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Ladies size EU38, UK 8-10, US 6-8.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Up-cycling has become the latest design trend. Therefore, the inventive up-cycling of discarded household textile materials were studied in this project in order to develop eco lux fashion. This resulted in the adding of new dimensions to the artistic up-cycling of creations. Reclamation was defined as the process of removing materials from the waste-stream and preparing them for recycling. Recycling was the reprocessing of that reclaimed material to achieve its conversion to a new material. It was concerned only with the post-consumer discarding of household waste and the process of recycling it as secondary materials.
CHALLENGE: The aim of the design was to investigate the comprehension and acceptance of recycled fashion in order to find out the wearability and aesthetic value of recycled fashion. Moreover, used the different characteristic fabrications were this challenge. The construction of texture were bit thick and hard, in this experiment follow the texture characteristic to build up three-dimension and created the unique silhouette. On the other hand, when used the nontraditional fabrics were not easy to handle by sewing, but fitting were affirmatively satisfy, probably because of the well measurement.
