| DESIGN NAME: Cubic PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional chair INSPIRATION: I have designed a big light pot before. And I have made some chairs, too. Now I wanted to put this two elements together. Something what I have not seen before. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Armchair where arm parts can be changed to the light. I made it other way around. Usually furnitured are lighted. Now chairgives a light around. Parts for arms are not full lenght. so you have a placce for a drink. And it is easy even for older persons to rise up from a chair. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Chair is suitable for home to opera houses. Todays led technic gives a lot of possibilities. You can Put light on by manual way or light can come on when uou walk closer of a chair. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Cubic is reborn this year 2014 when I realised to add a light to the chair. I made a arm part to changeble to light part. It will be a ones in a life time feeling when it is getting darken, you walk closer of a chair and lights comes automaticly on. Getting bbrighter slowly. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials are metal frame, metal net, leather opal plastic and LED light. and like a point top of i there are small parts of a wood where to keep by your hands SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Cubic belongs to a large collection: Helsinki Opera Collection. 12 cm is a measurement which can be found for all models. Dimensions are 879 x 730 x 600mm. Bottom of a chair is a signature of a designer date and number of a chair TAGS: A Plain, B, Clean C, Something surprisingly D, Less is more E, Collection RESEARCH ABSTRACT: How to compine light to the chair. I had to to study a light and a thecnology. There are different colors of a light. I had to find a right color to my case. Living in north of europe a colour of a liht could be different in south of europe. Technics and A possibilities of lamps and warm of a lamps are importants, too. CHALLENGE: When I first made a furniturecollection it took several years to give a new life, to re born a chair.
