| DESIGN NAME: Stellé Audio Wireless Earbud Locket™ PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wireless Earbuds INSPIRATION: Tired of the traditional headphones and earbuds, founders and husband and wife team, Anna Perelman and Wayne Ludlum, were inspired by the fashion industry to create the Earbud Locket. They believe women should not have to sacrifice form for function and that audio products should be a perfect marriage of high-end design and exceptional sound quality. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Stellé Audio’s Earbud Locket is a first of kind. Wireless Bluetooth earbuds are nestled inside a beautiful locket. The locket can be worn both when the earbuds are in use or as a stand-alone fashion statement. Utilizing custom 7mm drivers, the earbuds provide rich stereo sound, are specifically designed to fit the ear canals of women and feature an antibacterial coating. The Earbud Locket has a built-in microphone for hands-free calls and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Simple and easy to use. Paring done via one touch on Earbud Locket. Voice prompts signal successful paring. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2013 in Newport Beach, California. R&D has been extensive has this is the first of it kind product with the audio wiring inside an actual necklace chain. |

Stellé Audio reverses the development process and first considers lifestyle, then design, then develops technology to fit the need. Research included analyzing the fashion industry, which understands and inspires women. Focus groups refined the designed. The use of materials that ensured high-quality sound required extensive testing and was challenging but resulted in a first of its kind premium product. CHALLENGE: The Stellé Audio Earbud Locket is a unique product that takes a fresh approach at marrying cutting edge style and great sound. Perfect for the fashion conscious women on the go, the Earbud Locket utilizes design and materials that have never been used before in the headphone category. From the metal link chain used to cover the audio cables to the brilliant cut multi-faceted crystal on the Locket housing, the Earbud Locket is the prefect answer for women who demand great sound with great style.
