| DESIGN NAME: Bend - 1 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Watch INSPIRATION: Inspired by the old retro BRAUN models , and modern VOID models UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Watch has a body made of single piece of metal, which is suitable for different types of belts, such as classic belts with axial mounting or NATO strap OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The watch has a button, which activates the screen depending on the mode, or shows the date instead of the time, if the screen is activated. The additional adjustment buttons are located on the rear panel PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2014 in Kyiv and still in development FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Digital and Electronic Device Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Current version of watch is made using CNC machining SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Watch Dimensions without belt - 46mm x 34mm x 9mm TAGS: watch, CNC machining, lifestyle, bracelet, retro, minimalism RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In this project I have researched huge amount of watch styles, and their owners lifestyles. Aim was to create a design as universal as possible, modern, but suitable for different fashion and lifestyles CHALLENGE: The main difficulty in this challenge was to invent a new form in such field as watch design.
