| DESIGN NAME: Kongge Caffee PRIMARY FUNCTION: Community Cafe INSPIRATION: "Cafe" is an attitude of living space. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: In China, more and more people want to find their favorite space even more than a cup of coffee when they go to a Cafe. There, they can enjoy music, reading a book, chatting with friends or working alone. In the city, cafe is becoming a new way of life. At the beginning of design, the designers wanted to create a fashion, green and natural space with traditional cultural characteristics of China. So firstly, we found some bricks, wood, metal windows and doors from some old houses which were going to be dismantled. Such materials has low price but also has a very special sense of art. Reusing the materials also help for environmental protection. But these are not sufficient, designers wanted to find something more that can represent Chinese cultural elements of fashion. We think, traditional Chinese clothing fabric is very special because of the art colors and patterns which is also full of fashion elements. In fact, after the completion of the effect, our choice is proved correct. At the same time, we also made design of a sofa for the cafe, and it is loved by many people. We try to make this space to be more popular, very honored, we have done.
