| DESIGN NAME: Trunkster PRIMARY FUNCTION: Intelligent Luggage INSPIRATION: Designed by frequent travelers frustrated with "luggage lag", Trunkster draws inspiration from traditional rolltop mechanism used in desks, bread boxes, and garages. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Revolutionary hardside luggage that optimizes access via a rolltop door, weighs itself through an integrated digital scale, and charges your electronics via a USB charger connected to an removable power bank. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Trunkster can easily be access via sliding rolltop door. Omni-directional wheels allow for rolling in any direction. Max control handle allows for various hand grips for secure hold. USB charger on top dashboard connected to removable power bank allow for simple, on-the-go charging of electronics. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January of 2014 and debuted in November 2014. |
