RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research has been conducted in parametric design software and complex free flowing forms that come from nature. Moreover, advanced production methods using cast concrete as the core material were researched and case studies of innovative solutions using concrete and other cement based materials were analysed.
CHALLENGE: While acknowledging to the needs of our community and environment, the challenge was to explore the boundaries of concrete and keeping in tune with the needs of contemporary design. An exploration of pursuing advanced aesthetics while aiding the evolution of a structural material outside its common context.
