INSPIRATION:
with its ‘Golden Banyan’ trophy, the client celebrates exceptional entrepreneurial spirit and outstanding teams. Our design illustrates the indomitable human spirit in the form of a banyan, which starts out from a seed and eventually stands before you as a giant.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
We interpreted the ‘banyan concept’ (which stands metaphorical for life force and expanding growth) into the physical and visual appearance, and realized the design in a modern and innovative way. Employees simply love the appearance of the trophy, and the feel of it. As important, the underlying meaning is implicitly communicated and illustrated through this symbol of merits.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
We applied centrifugal casting technology in the production and chose lead-tin alloy as the preferred material. The final procedure is gold electroplating. The centrifugal casting of alloy can guarantee the physical functions of the product as well as avoid the obvious layering of different metal elements.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The client wanted to reward the exceptional spirit and outstanding team with this award. They already had a general idea about this trophy: banyan. So we did a lot of research on the implication and application of banyan.
CHALLENGE:
The client already had a general idea about this trophy, but how to present it is the core of our research: do we simply use the shape of a banyan or just show the implication of it in one part of the trophy.
