PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pharmacy Concept
INSPIRATION: The idea of development of the Dr. Fleming Pharmacy Services mainly draws its inspiration from the tradition of the oldest European pharmacies. In particular we drew on the old pottery pharmacy vases used for medicinal and curative herbs and reconsidered them in a modern perspective. Nature represents another strong inspiring element, whose soft and harmonic lines have been reproduced to express the concept of a - creature about to be born - or, in other words, a Bud. The product of this encounter between tradition and nature is therefore a set of design forms organics.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Transformation of the traditional pharmacist-client relationship, so we focused our attention on a revolutionary vision aimed at removing all the hierarchical and psychological barriers usually existing between the patient and the pharmacist, through the creation of a human and equal relationship in which the Man represents the real center.
This new philosophy will therefore lead the Pharmacist to welcome his potential clients and interact with them on an equal level, giving more attention to their personal health needs as well as the sales aspects.
The focal point of this new philosophy consists in teaching a new sales model focused on the Man and his service needs, firstly perceived as human being and only later as a mere consumer.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The materials used for all the product displays is white printed methacrylate, shaped in 3 different sizes and based on a specific design. The back wooden panels, coated with glossy white methacrylate show about 800 hemispheres of 3 different heights, manually placed, that become an integral part of the panels giving it a 3D eddect.
The same element used for the wall methacrylate display was chosen for the display island and the cash desks.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The main objective of Dr Fleming pharmacies and drugstores consists in creating innovative points of sale, in which the main health and well-being services (60% of the space) are supplied through the implementation of an innovative model based on a new purchasing behavior and a core business that not only concerns the sale of the products but also the supplying of health services, guaranteeing a quicker timing and lower costs.
CHALLENGE: The basic element considered during the project preparation was the transformation of the traditional pharmacist-client relationship, so we focused our attention on a revolutionary vision aimed at removing all the hierarchical and psychological barriers usually existing between the patient and the pharmacist, through the creation of a human and equal relationship in which the Man represents the real center. In this context, the pharmacy must become a meeting point for people needing to solve intimate problems, often difficult to be explained within the traditional context.
