| DESIGN NAME: Urban Roots - Limit of Time PRIMARY FUNCTION: Timepieces INSPIRATION: The idea to create watches came to me in the 5th academic year. Considering the point that a watch is an integral part of men’s outfit I have proceeded with looking for and developing the design. After I have attended Moscow exhibition dedicated to the modern urban culture, I came to the decision to choose this art movement. I was impressed with the works of famous artists following this subculture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To astound – that is the main goal of my work. Exactly this essence of exclusiveness was implemented in my watch collection “Limit of time”, which includes three items. “My Universe” watch enables ethereal motives in details. The Universe is enclosed into the watchcase – that is the principal idea of this model. Minimal number of elements in this watch represents the concept of simplicity and accuracy peculiar to strong men character. Watch Kharef Ain –watch design is intended to make an accent on the idea that severe men character is not deprived of a romantic note, love and care. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: My UniverseThe central part of the watch - clock face and case – was made of bronze work pieces by means of turning and milling machine. Inside the bracelet there’s a black enamel element which creates esthetic and complete image of the watch. Number one. Belt lugs were cut of wax manually,casted in bronze and then welded to the case. Kharef Ain. The main case was initially manually made of wax, afterwards it has been casted in bronze and treated at turning machine.The lower cover is bronze made and cut at turning machine. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in september 2012 in Togliatti and finished in may 2013 in Togliatti, and was exhibited in Jewelry Olympus in june 2013. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: when creating a collection, I used jewelry wax and bronze.
