| DESIGN NAME: riverpark PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential INSPIRATION: we inspirited by clients existing living space, which are vintage building and we we would like to bring this atmosphere into their new moved apartment, let them feel familiar with it… UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Consistent with the owner’s bright and energetic personality, we have chosen some light natural colors and contrast with black metal materials as our main theme to enhance the layer throughout the area. Thus, we bring together black metals and frosted glass to make the separation between the kitchen and the helper’s room, this can ensure the nature light source come through the frosted glass to the kitchen but also becoming another features that everyone cannot be neglected. When it comes to open kitchen, the distinguishness of two functional area (kitchen and dinning area) is often a tricky bit, we decided to use two different materials in this case, cement floorings and timber floorings did a fantastic job here. Owner and her sister are both heavy reader, we ensure there are enough space for their collections. And by making the hanging bookshelves with metal frame and glass largely reduce the cumbersome to further reduce the heaviness, we divided this giant bookshelves into division with different sizes, sliding doors with grey mirrors. Last but not least, in the living area, we have used white timber veneer for the entire wall with a concealed door, it helps making the whole design to be shipshape and gives perfection to this apartment.
