The core idea of design line ICON is creating a sculptural look, inspired of the perfect form of “egg”. Besides its natural advantages of form such as robustness or durability, the monolithic metallic handle, inspired by leaf ensures the balance between forms. This organic design line creates the whole idea of brunch set.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The ICON breakfast set, including filter coffee machine, kettle, long slot toaster and tea maker brings a combination of a contemporary style with natural forms and materials to the modern elegant kitchens. In depth research led to the iconic design that embodies Vestel brand commitment to merge nature with technology. The set is designed to dazzle the feelings of users with its easy to remembered form and the state of belonging to the exclusiveness.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
All brunch set provides all technological requirements of the HI-END product range in small domestic appliances.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in August 2012 in R&D Manisa and finished in July 2013 in VestelManisa, and was exhibited in IFA, Berlin on September 2013.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Main body of each product in the line consists of two pieces. First of them is the whole body which holds functional parts and mechanism. And other piece is the monolithic metallic handle, inspired by leaf ensures the balance among forms and gives the robustness to the handle. In the openness on the handle there is a led-indicator.
For the products having water tank, the main material of the body is borosilicate glass. All the function touch-buttons and info-screens are positioned on base part of the products.

The whole design process is a combination of concept design and strategy development. The SDA Concept design project is composed of three main iterative sessions as shown:

New investment is planned on creating brand identity and design language in developing sector of domestic kitchen appliances for Vestel Brand in domestic market and its clients in European market.
To overcome the collocation problem of the products from Chinese suppliers with the product range in domestic market we offer creating one design language that fits to the current domestic market needs and design layout for upcoming products according to the future trends. Secondly to avoid the time-consumption on the management of the suppliers design team proposescreating one design language with mass-customization benefits can provide ease of manufacturing, quality control and pursuit of suppliers.
As a result of the design process, creating brand identity possibilities in small kitchen appliances by conceptual brunch-set designs is essential to understand the mindset of marketing and management.
