"Triangles in (E)motion"
specially architecture & geometric-art (concrete art).
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
the tables "Carrousel" & "Cathedral" are the continuation of my story "Triangles in (E)motion" designed objects bases on "full & semi-equilateral triangles". I start from a solid geometric shape, a equilateral triangle, I distill various forms that can both serve as designs for tables, but also be processed into abstract geometric entities which function as visual art. I try to create, from my own set of values and forms, beauty in a tradition that is related to Arte Povera and Minimalism. The question whether my creations are to be perceived as utensils or visual art is basically beside the point.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
this object can be operated with publication in magazines, also with intelligent analyses & text in books, film etc.

simple, clearly, timeless, spiritual...
As member of a family of wood-workers, I draw, create and realize furniture since I was 15 years old. I am interior-architect & designer but also a carpenter. I worked 1O years in the Wood-industry. As designer I am always on search to create objects with spirit and a soul.
For me "the creative challenge" is to create my "own story"; on this way working on "Triangles in (E)motion was and is a great pleasure for me! My design is not complicated, the realization of the "Carrousel table" is very simple. The 6 parts of the top of the table are joint with top-connections in +/- 15 minutes.
