Individual Home Thermostat
INSPIRATION:
The Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone was created in order to simplify home heating programs. Today, 80%* of programable thermostats users do not actually create or change their heating program because their use are too complicated (*market study).
With its translucent, minimalist, Plexiglass cube, timeless shape, the Netatmo Thermostat for Smartphone blends on your home’s wall. 5 interchangeable colors are available within the box to match your home’s decoration.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Thermostat for Smartphone allows to control your home heating remotely. It plans a heating program based on the user's habits. The Thermostat allows to save up to 25%* on energy spendings, by avoiding to heat when buildings are unoccupied (*based on Ademe study). It allows to reduce the home heating carbon footprint. The user remotely accesses his heating system from the companion App, with great simplicity. There are no unnecessary buttons on the Thermostat: physical interactions are kept to the bare minimum, while the touch screen on the App is intuitive.

Netatmo carefully designs their products’ mechanics, electronics and embedded software. Netatmo industrializes them with the finest quality standards and designs the mobile and web applications that unleash their full capabilities.
The first device launched by the company, the Netatmo Personal Weather Station, allows one to measure indoor air quality, weather and more. In November 2013, Netatmo launched their second product, a Thermostat for smartphones designed by Philippe Starck. At the 2014 CES, Netatmo unveiled JUNE, the first bracelet that measures sun exposure and provides recommendations to women on how to protect their skin from sun effects.
Netatmo was recognized with 3 awards from the prestigious CES Innovations Design & Engineering awards in 2013 and 2014.
