| DESIGN NAME: Jack Daniel's PRIMARY FUNCTION: Gift box INSPIRATION: Beauty of purity and simplicity of Jack Daniel's whiskey bottle. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Luxury gift box for Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey which is not only a regular box including a bottle inside. It is unique for its construction. Package is developed for not only great design feature but also for safe bottle delivering at same time. We can see throughout the whole box thanks to big open windows. Light coming directly through the box highlights the original color of the whiskey and purity of the product. Although the two sides of box are open, torsional stiffness is excellent thanks to its unique construction. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Original construction of the box was critic in term of how to fold card board in many different directions and how to complete the box from more parts together. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2013 in Prague and finished in September 2013 in Ostrava. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Packaging Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The gift box is made from cardboard only and has only a few gluing places. The box is full matte laminated and has hot stamping and embossing elements. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 145 mm x Depth 145 mm x Height 290 mm TAGS: gift box, spirit, construction, paper, original, luxury, purity RESEARCH ABSTRACT: No research was carried out. CHALLENGE: Challenge of this project was to develop a box which more shows of the product than hides.
