| DESIGN NAME: M.T.F. ( My True Friend) PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table Lamp INSPIRATION: Inspired by a German mastiff from Sherlock Holmes movie. I would like to embody the image of the Victorian era, that comfort of home, crackling, burning fireplace and faithful dog sitting and waiting for its master. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The uniqueness of M.T.F. ( My True Friend) lamp in the form of a dog is that, firstly it can fit almost any decor, from the cheerful, warm children's room and ending with cold official working office. Secondly, it has a unique combination of materials - wood, plastic, metal, glass that creates a fusion style. The third unique characteristic is that, not all lamps can have a pivot arm with 360 degrees and free tilt from any angle. Also, our lamp provides possibility of rigid fixation with the comfortable ergonomic locks. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Firstly The M.T.F. ( My True Friend) could be easily moved along the surface and transformed at any height and angle. Secondly lamp's ergonomic locks and position fixators are simple and pleasant to use. Thirdly the lamp is of a spot light and this light could be turned to any direction. Finally the M.T.F. ( My True Friend) lamp has a soothing, calming, comforting, placating effect on a human being and the lamp's bowl could be readily changed according to the customer's desires and mood. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project has not been realized in true physical form yet. The technical specifications have yet to be confirmed. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The M.T.F. ( My True Friend) lamp consists of the three main parts: 1) Upper part consists of a metal bowl with plastic insert; 2) Middle part consists of a metal hollow tube which acts as an lampshade arm for the lamp’s management; 3) The lower part of M.T.F. ( My True Friend) lamp is a stand made of metal with wood inserts. Additionally the Lamp’s position fixators are made of plastic. Handles are made of wood. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: heigh 550 mm, radius of the base 100 mm, power watts 12. TAGS: Sweet home, Lamp, Victorian Era, friendly dog, light, multifunctional, firm. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: We wanted to embody the essence of the old, more durable, some kind “iron” world, where people were more kind and simpler, and things were inherited for generations with the modern fast-paced world where modern technology combines space and time, it speeds up the life of modern person and sometimes he or she just want to come home, turn on the light instead of coldness and swiftness of the world and meet the home warmth and comfort. As if there is a faithful dog waiting for its master, and the life is slow and relaxed. CHALLENGE: The difficulty was in maintaining a single composition shape of the lamp.
