DESIGN NAME: The Kameleon
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Adaptable Clothing
INSPIRATION: The Kameleon was created in the midst of a global adventure. I became aware of the need for clothing that met the needs of travellers. I designed the Kameleon, which can be worn in 52 ways, when coming up with the concept I added buttons to my summer dress and started flipping it upside down and just kept going and inventing new styles. We decided to produce in Madagascar and create a positive impact on people and the environment.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Kameleon an innovative adaptable garment can be worn in 52 ways. Ultimately sustainable lasting you throughout the seasons, made from 100% bamboo under ethical conditions and supporting social initiatives in Madagascar.
The Kameleon makes you a Chameleon adapting to every environment whether that be a bar, the office or a walk in the park.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Kameleon can be worn in 52 ways. You can adapt into the different styles easily, using the zebu horn buttons. A guide is enclosed with the garment, for further explanation the video guide can be viewed online.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The brand Kameleon Rose began in December 2012 the company is British with all manufacturing taking plan on the Island of Madagascar.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: FABRIC: Made from 100% Bamboo fabric, it is a sustainable textile, soft antibacterial and drapes like silk.
POCKET: Secret pocket, always handy!
PANEL: Elastic panel allows the kameleon to stretch, made from ethic printed cotton.
BUTTONS: are made from Zebu (cow) horn
PRODUCTION: Produced in Madagascar under ethical conditions.

CHALLENGE: We are based most of the year in Madagascar. It is one go the poorest countries in the world. The biggest challenge has been import of raw materials and export of finished products due to complicated procedures. This process works most smoothly working in total partnership with the factories that are respecting local laws.
