| DESIGN NAME: AQUASPHERE FOR TECHNOMARINE PRIMARY FUNCTION: Watch INSPIRATION: My respect for the sea. My love for nature and my passion for time pieces. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Swiss watchmaker TechnoMarine has created a unique timepiece inspired by the submarine technology and depths of the ocean. The highly original AquaSphere collection combines TechnoMarines technical watchmaking expertise with the talents of designer Federico Restrepo. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This watch is unique on the sense it's the first time a liquid recover and is enclosed in a watch in the Luxury market.Is more a poetic object made to offer pleasure and joy PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Project has been launch exclusively on Colette and Amazon USA on november 2013 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Steel , saphire, natural pearls, diamonds, silicone, SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Diameter 40 mm .In a hard Box with 2 straps and window TAGS: originality, dream, vision, poetry, timepiece RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The based idea was in fact from the compasses of the yachts.I am myself a strong amateur and sailor so I found interesting to match the fun of the yachting to the fashionistas eyes CHALLENGE: Make a spherical glass and adjust it perfectly with the base in steel. Include water in the watch and add the pearls. This process was very long to made it with this particular delicate materials and precious expensive ones.
