| DESIGN NAME: Honeydew Rabbit PRIMARY FUNCTION: Baby Soft Chair (Couch) INSPIRATION: The design has its focus on the mind of building an animal farm within our home for our lovely babies. It is devised to deliver the sense of exchange as an animal to cozily embrace our babies, and through this endeavor, the design is to bring sense of emotional stability for babies. It is very simple style of soft chair, but the design point is on showing the features of animals for easy identification. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Appearance of 3-year old child on soft chair is shown like an animal for cute showing to heighten the sense of love between the child and parents. Different from existing soft chair, the seat and back support have the design with bio-engineering method to set the correct posture of infants. The weight of 2.5kg or less allows child to freely move around to play. If the outer fabric is contaminated during the use, the zipper is easily opened to wash and replace the slip cover in its design. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Production method is to cut and process with the polyurethane foam by using the CNC lathe to adhere with the non-toxic vegetable adhesives to make the body. The bamboo pole is affixed to the body to heighten the soft chair and inner cover to heighten the adhesion and the Velcro is attached to the surface to easily separate and affix the slip cover. The rear side of the slip cover has the zipper to easily open and close to make easy washing. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: 2012. July: Design project start in Seoul, Korea 2013. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The materials used are 100% non-toxicity brushed cotton, non-toxic elastomer, non-toxic plastic zipper and non-toxic vegetable adhesives. This is indispensable choice for young infants, the users. Production method is to cut and process with the polyurethane foam by using the CNC lathe to adhere with the non-toxic vegetable adhesives to make the body. The bamboo pole is affixed to the body to heighten the soft chair and inner cover to heighten the adhesion and the Velcro is attached to the surface to easily separate and affix the slip cover. The rear side of the slip cover has the zipper to easily open and close to make easy washing. In order to solve this problem, the zipper is attached to the rear side and the floor of the product to make it easier to attach and detach the slip cover. Since the product is for children, solution of production method or material was the greatest problem. In order to solve the problem, 100% non-toxicity brushed cotton and non-toxic elastomer are used and the adhesive also uses the non-toxic vegetable adhesives. And, in order to prevent the foam to expose to enter into the mouth of the child, inner cover finishing processing has been added.
