| DESIGN NAME: T-Box2 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Set Top Box INSPIRATION: The design inspiration came from a leaf at the moment that a water drop is at its tip. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: T-BOX2 is a new technical device to integrate Internet, multimedia and communication, and offer home users diversified interactive services including massive Internet content play and HD video calls. Connecting STB to TV in the family network environment, user can rapidly upgrade a common TV to a smart TV, which brings family users excellent AV entertainment experience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: *Local HD video play *OTT Internet video play *HD video calls *Motion sensing game *Back-office management functions, such as App Store and User Management *Diversified multi-screen interactive applications between TV and mobile phone/tablet, etc PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2012 in Beijing and finished in February 2013 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Home Appliances Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: - SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Dimensions: 127mm X 103mm X 23mm TAGS: OTT, compact, smart TV, charming in ID/brilliant in UX RESEARCH ABSTRACT: People have natural preference on symmetry for balance, but nature always shows its true splendidness in marginal status, breaking the symmetry. This design is trying to catch the highlight of asymmetry from nature while keeping the balance as a product.
