| DESIGN NAME: Reflection PRIMARY FUNCTION: Earring INSPIRATION: Sometimes people are so immersed in the daily routines of life that they even lose their selves. Once, in a crowded place, I was standing quiet aside for a moment, looked at the faces of the people around me and asked myself: "who are we?". This question with which my mind is often involved, as well as Avicenna's "Suspended Man" hypothesis had strong influence in shaping the idea of this design. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Who AM I ? This is a question that we will consider in our entire life and this question became the main focus of our design. These earrings can reflect your face (character) and they can be the most personal earrings that you may have. Also these earrings can be a reflection of who you'd like him or her to be, for example, in this project one of the earrings was designed by John Lennon profile whose thoughts, feeling and his face will never be forgotten. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2013 and finished in June 2013 in Tehran. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Material : white Gold SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The earrings curve follow the curve of the Profile who owns it. TAGS: Jewellery, Earring, white Gold, Reflection RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In order to research for this project, I rather going to the crowded and public area than going to a library. Indeed this design created from the dialogue, images, sounds and faces that at that time I was faced with. CHALLENGE: The main challenge was how to make these earrings more than just a piece of gold so that they can show sense and purpose of the design in the simplest and most minimalist form.
