PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: I found pictures of shrimp, and got them scanned into AutoCAD, where the plate was designed. Then I designed a 3D model in SketchUp. I made a 3D print of the plate where I could get the model in my hand, and test it with a wine glass until the plate and glass fit.
The dish is now made in "melamine" and has a dimension 235 x 210 x 10 mm, but may of course be embodied in other materials such as ceramic, wood or any other material.

The next step is to produce the plate in degradeable corn starch, so that it may be used and thrown into nature without contaminating.
The plate is food approved and dishwasher safe.
CHALLENGE: Untill now the hardest part of the process has been to find buyers of the plate. This may be due to the global financial crisis.
The idea is to get it published and sold.
So far the production is in China by Fabrikators (www.fabrikators.com). There are only a few copies made in melamin and wood.
