Bucket 40

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Lay-on wash basin

INSPIRATION:
The source of inspiration is the bucket. Its essential shape recalls different moments of our lives: the bucket we play with on the beach, the ice bucket to drink to a romantic evening or a pleasant party with some friends, the bucket of paint of a painter, or the basketball for those who love sport.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
BUCKET line distinguishes itself byits shape bringing to mind just the bucket, in different sizes and decorations. This object symbolizing the game and the simplicity turns into an essential part of the bathroom becoming a wash basin where the handle is a towel rail. Thanks to the wide offer of decorations it is fit for public places like gyms, rstaurants, pubs and schools, but even for child bathrooms or for those who love daring with an informal style in their own bathroom.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:

Original, fun, versatile, stylish, functional, charming, high quality of traditional materials.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
This project arose from the will both of Giovanna Talocci and Scarabeo Ceramiche to create a new range of wash basins with an extremely simple and linear design but at the same time original and fit for every setting and style. In such a difficult period for our international economy, our wish was to launch on the market a product able to "minimize" this situation, to get a smile out.

CHALLENGE:
During the realization, Scarabeo's technical knowledge was essential. Scarabeo faced every obstacle arising from the manufacturing of the smooth and regular surface of the truncated cone shaped ceramics, rather hard to control. Besides, the irregularity of this material, inclining to modifications during the firing, made particularly difficult the realization of the connection between the basin and the handle/towel rail. In fact, it envisages a junction to be realized specifically for this product.
