| DESIGN NAME: Tria Set Top Box PRIMARY FUNCTION: Digital video broadcasting device INSPIRATION: Beside its technology, Tria, as also implied by its name, aims to provide innovation, design and functionality by referring to the three legged star. The slit which begins on the rear part of the Tria connects to the front corners. Visually, this represents that the product receives the data in the rear and transmits to the front. In addition to giving a message to the user, this slit provides gaps for ventilation and creates an iconic lens in the center. The glossy black product which has a folding line on the middle axis puts the emphasis on the triangle in the middle. This geometry has also been used in front acrylic lens. This product - with the help of the slit and the folding line – aims to visually emphasize that many applications (Games - Internet - Music) will pour out of it. The inner plastic -where the ventilation holes are placed- made of matte plastic whereas the outer case of the product is made of glossy black plastic. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Tria is one of the newest Smart Set Top Box of Vestel providing digital broadcasting technology for TV users. Tria's the most important character is "hidden ventilation". Hidden ventilation makes possible to create unique and simple designs. However, inside plastic cover there has a metal case which is used to prevent overheating of the product. Other technical features of the box are; it provides full technological functions such as playing different media (music, video, photo) via internet and personal media storages. Tria's operating system is Android V4.2 Jelly Bean system. Moreover Tria's specifications are; integrated WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, integrated Bluetooth V4.0, Lan, SPDIF, O/B power supply unit, WPS button, WMM and Miracast. Apart from watching the digital channels in HD quality, by HDMI V1.4 connection, one can listen to music, watch movies and look at photographs and images on TV screen, while controlling these files through UI menu. Speaking of last Tria has 2 USB port and AV out. All of these features ensure a pleasant home entertainment experience for end user, which also upgrades a standard TV from a display to a home entertainment system. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All the parts of Tria is produced with injection molding. The middle triangle part is available for hotstamping and painting, which provides different color combinations. Tria is also designed within the constraints of RoHS and WEEE. Tria works in perfect harmony with televisions.
