Showroom, Retail

INSPIRATION:
Inspration of this lounge that will serve changing collections of shoes in the four seasons of the year, this change, necessity of transfering to user as visual was determined as a design criteria. Lounge, fictionalised with this technology and illusion.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The showroom was prepared in the last quarter of 2012 for a firm which is active in the international arena and an important brand in footwear industry, met with visitors.The themes of different spaces that forming complex was prepared with inspiring styles of shoes and the complex occured that composed of showrooms and a lounge.To be able to express the specified styles, different manufacturing methods, technologies and materials used and all spaces are progression of continuum with used style. Lounge: The lounge’s theme is technology which services exhibition places.Technologic lines on the ceiling and walls, design as expressing the technology of shoes that display in the all showrooms, import and manufacture in the factory which is beside the building.Ceiling and walls, which design with free form, while gather ideally, use CAD-CAM technology.Barrisol that manufacture in France, mdf lacquer furnitures that manufacture in European side of Istanbul, RGB Led systems which manufacture in Asia side of Istanbul, without measurement and rehearsal on the suspended ceiling, the CAD-CAM technology that allow installation simultaneously, refer to create with technologic lines of space.Café unit, which is in the middle of the space, that service to lounge and the other showrooms, design with using the same lines to repeat continuity of the whole.

The showroom was prepared in the last quarter of 2012 for a firm which is active in the international arena and an important brand in footwear industry, met with visitors in Istanbul, TURKEY.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
High-tech manufacturing methods of products which are exhibited showrooms that served by lounge was chosen as the theme. Lounge that will serve changing collections of shoes in the four seasons of the year, this change, necessity of transfering to user as visual was determined as a design criteria. Lounge, fictionalised with this technology and illusion. Physical condition of space, properties, product research, story of space were evaluated. Then selection of material fictionalised and material production methods were determined. Firstly, designs were transfered to conceptional Project and turned to be sketches. The adequacy of manufacturing was determined with sketches and transfered to CAD as application Project 1 and application Project 2.

CHALLENGE:
During the realization of the Project was needed in solving variety of problems. Primarily, manufactures that were both in construction area and workshops, bringing together in disciplinary, was an important problem for the project. The other problem was that difficulty of applying the manufactures within the budget. And the other one was that difficulty of ending of showroom and building at the same time.
