The patterns on the paravent are inspired by our Arabian culture
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This Paravent is what you can call Function Art. The pattern used is inspired by the Arabian motifs and culture, yet the use of the Resin material gives a modern feel to it. The positive and negative statement shows how the effect of subtracting and adding shapes can be both an artistic and functional purpose.
The purpose behind the design of this paravent is to preserve privacy with the ability of looking through, inspired by the concept of the “Mashrabiya”. The geometric patterns used are adapted and inspired by monumental Arabian architecture which is derived from the rich cultural heritage of the Arabian world and craftsmanship. Creating the hinges out of Resin; a resistant, smooth surfaced, air-quality friendly, sustainable, formed to any shape, and can be used indoors and outdoors; Resin was a great and challenging material used for this design. The mixture of Arabian and modern is what makes this Paravent so special.
