| DESIGN NAME: CURVE PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence INSPIRATION: Curve UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: a large U-type space is formed by the chairs and backrest in some part of the dining hall, which not only create a form, but also define the space of the dining hall. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In order to clearly demonstrate the curve shape, the materials applied are very simple and concise, are mainly [white]-based, the application of pure materials and colors can show the perfect curves. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in April 2011 in Shanghai,China, and was exhibited to custom in May 2011 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: volakas, white pearl paint, carbon-colored stainless steel SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 3,500 SQ FT TAGS: CURVE RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The overall design concept is based on [the curve] as one of the main axis of the design. The design of the [Curve] is applied into the arc walls and the lighting belt in the ceilings, a three-dimensional effect is formed by the curves applied on the facades, a large U-type space is formed by the chairs and backrest in some part of the dining hall, which not only create a form, but also define the space of the dining hall. The stairs next to the dining hall looks like a sculpture, its handrail is a perfect curve, winds from the 3rd floor to the first floor.
