| DESIGN NAME: Frohne eClip PRIMARY FUNCTION: USB flash drive INSPIRATION: My inspiration came from the economic recession and the idea made Frohne a global icon. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Frohne eClip is the world's only versatile paper clip USB flash drive . eClip was recently honored the IDA 11 Award and will be published in the IDA Book of Designs in 2013. Frohne eClip has data encryption, password protection, and computer lock. eClip protects your personal data, intellectual property, employer data, customer data, medical data, and trade secrets with security software. The healthcare, data sensitive, and financial companies are proud to carry this secure and versatile paper clip USB flash drive in their pocket. Frohne has become a global icon to many people and companies who trust in versatile security. The metric ruler is utilized by chefs, engineers, scientists, and other professionals to accurately measure projects. The eClip is lightweight and fits on your keyring, necklace, or work folder. It functions like a regular paperclip to organize your reciepts, bills, money, or other paper items. Designed in Florida by Frohne, the eClip features a gold memory connector that is scratch resistant, extreme weather resistant, dust resistant, shock resistant, water resistant, rust resistant, alcohol resistant, and electromagnetic resistant. It is sized at 61 x 12.5 x 2.1mm, weighs 1.2g, and has a capacity of 8GB. It is made of ABS and has a stated data retention of 10 years. The device is certified by CE, RoHS, FCC. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Frohne eClip is operated on both Mac and PC computers. The eClip can be used to organize receipts, bills, money, and other paper documents. The metric ruler can be used by anyone to do measurements. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Frohne eClip project started in 2011 in Tampa-Florida and was finished during December 2011 in Tampa-Florida. I shocked it with 900k volts, submerged it underwater for 24 hours, scratched it, and dipped it in alcohol. I froze it and it still functions.
