| DESIGN NAME: Twin Angels PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewelry Ring INSPIRATION: The inspiration of this design comes when i saw some of Michelangelo's sculptures and paintings, i just think how can i design some classic sculpture which holding and protecting a big blue sapphire, UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The thing which makes this design so special is that this ring made from 2 angels to protecting a blue sapphire as a Heritage of the world, and bring a message to people of the world to protect and save the nature's treasure, OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: i designed this one in August 2011 in Tehran, it tooks around 100 working hours from start to finish this design, FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Fashion, Apparel and Garment Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Gemstone = blue sapphire , 19.5 Carat Size :16.8-13.5 mm Metal = White gold 13.00 Gr SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 34 mm Height - 25 mm Width Center stone holding with the special setting method , its called Tension setting TAGS: Twin angel jewelry ring RESEARCH ABSTRACT: i was searching many many sculptures, like Rodin, Bernini ,and looking to John pope hennesy`s book "Italian High reniassance & Baroque sculpture" also Michelangelo's sculptures , finally i decided to create this design, CHALLENGE: The Hardest part of this design activity was how to create an angel sculpture and make it to hold a big gemstone, the gemstone setting method "Tension Setting " with this kind of model was so hard to create, ADDED DATE: 2012-02-22 07:14:19 TEAM MEMBERS (1) : IMAGE CREDITS: Seyed Mohammad Mortazavi, 2011. |
