DESIGN NAME: Seóra
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Hammock
INSPIRATION: La Seóra hammock was inspired in Miami with the transculturation of two significant cultures in the City; the Cubans and the Americans. A general image of an American armchair is one of those huge ones, with the plush padding, the foot rest folding up, and the drink holder on your side, then we have the typical hammock from Cuba. The result is La Seóra which is a hybrid between a hammock a chaise longue and an armchair. The armrests fold out to be used as an armchair and when a siesta is calling, you lean back, put your feet up on the adjustable footrest and have a nap.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Seóra is made from high quality Birch marine plywood and stainless steel. It’s unique design and aesthetic appearance provides you with your ultimate hammock experience as Seóra takes the shape of your body allowing you to relax in a correct posture without slouching (unlike conventional hammocks with net and fabric do). Seora's distinctive stand made from stainless steel can be disassembled into three pieces for easy storage. Integrated armrests open when needed and the footrest can be adjusted according to your height for ideal comfort.
