| DESIGN NAME: Ludovico PRIMARY FUNCTION: Transforming Furniture INSPIRATION: I found inspiration in the simplicity and functionality of Scandinavian design mixed with Pittamiglio´s castle logic. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The way it saves space is quite opriginal, having twoi chairs completely hidden inside de drawer. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Its usability is quite simple really. You just extract the chairs by pulling them out by the handles jjust as you would a drawer. What seems to be drawer handles, are really handles for the chair extraction. When the furniture is all closed with the chairs inside, it looks as if the furniture had four more drawers. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2010 in Montevideo and Finished in August October 2010 in Montevideo, and was exhibited in Expo Hogar (Latu) in october 2010 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
