DESIGN NAME: Artemis Clinics
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Health Tourism App
INSPIRATION: The inspiration behind Artemis came from observing the overwhelming and untrustworthy experience of health tourists navigating treatment abroad. Combining user empathy, UX research, and AI technology, Artemis was designed to become the smart, safe, and user-first companion for global patients seeking medical care abroad.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Artemis is a mobile platform that streamlines the medical tourism journey for international patients seeking treatment abroad, specifically for countries such as Turkey and the UAE. Unlike typical health directories, Artemis combines verified doctor listings, AI-powered consultations, smart trip planners, live chat, and personalized timelines. It merges trust, design clarity, and intelligent guidance into one seamless experience.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Users begin by searching for clinics or treatments via a smart filter interface. They explore verified providers, consult via chat or AI, and book appointments with guided steps. Artemis builds a dynamic itinerary, sends reminders, and allows direct communication, making the process simple and emotionally reassuring.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in April 2024 in Izmir, Turkey and is currently under development. UX research and wireframing were completed in Q4 2024. The project is now being prototyped and integrated with AI and backend technologies for launch in Q3 2025.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Designed using a combination of UX research methodologies, Figma prototyping, and Adobe tools. AI features are powered through integrations with OpenAI API. The mobile-first interface was planned for both iOS and Android environments with accessible UI standards and localization in mind.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Responsive mobile interface, built-in scalable wireframe grid systems (375px x 812px for mobile), interactive components for smart filters, chat and itinerary. Features API-ready modules for clinic data, AI messaging, trip scheduling, and payment processing. Architecture optimized for modular expansion and web adaptation.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Qualitative research focused on health tourism patients from Europe, North America, and Australia. Objectives included identifying pain points in clinic discovery and booking. Data collected via interviews, competitor analysis, and journey mapping. Insights revealed trust, timing, and clarity as critical. Result: a modular UX design supporting AI and guided steps, increasing patient confidence and conversion.
CHALLENGE: The greatest challenge was translating a complex international medical journey into a user experience that feels calm, trusted, and intuitive. We tackled legal, cultural, and emotional barriers while balancing clarity and detail. Integrating AI in a human-centered way also required new UX thinking and careful language.
