| DESIGN NAME: Light collection PRIMARY FUNCTION: Countertop Washbasin INSPIRATION: The Light collection draws its inspiration from the inherent beauty of nature, embodying the fluidity and organic forms found in the environment. This influence is reflected in the rounded shapes that characterize the collection aim to create a soothing atmosphere, encouraging harmony and connection with word. Additionally, products embrace a commitment to sustainable design, serves as a reminder of the importance of balance between aesthetic appeal and environmental responsibility. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Light collection is a minimalist proposal that breaks conventional patterns through simple geometric shapes characterized by its thin-walled design. Inspired by nature and harmony, each form is crafted with an innovative mindset and sustainability in mind. The idea behind the collection is to create a zone of tranquility and balance, where light plays main role. By utilizing advanced material and implementing thoughtful design principles, products achieve a remarkable 55% reduction in weight. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Light washbasins collection combines aesthetics with usability. Its design allows for efficient use of the basin while providing ample space for hand washing. The spacious basin offers convenience for everyday use, while the high-quality material ensures durability and easy maintenance. Moreover, the Collection offers versatility in its application. It can be seamlessly integrated into various bathroom styles, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether in a residential setting or a commercial environment, the Light washbasins fits effortlessly and complements the overall design concept. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2022 in Poland and finish in March 2023 in Germany. The Cirlight was exhibited: - in March 2023 on ISH Germany; - in January 2024 in Frankfurt during German Design Ceremony; - in March 2024 at the European Center Contemporary Space Athens; - in June 2024 in Red Dot Museum. Circlight wasbasin was multi awarded by: - 2023 GOOD DESIGN, The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies; - German Design Award 2024; - Red Dot Award 2024. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Multicast is a unique composite material that combines extraordinary durability and exceptional lightness. It is based on a special formula of the filler, developed by Marmorin, which allows for the manufacturing of products much lighter than cast stone equivalents without sacrificing longevity and durability.
