| DESIGN NAME: Sincerely Glacial Orange PRIMARY FUNCTION: Fruit Gift Box INSPIRATION: The essence of the design for the Sincerely Glacial Orange Gift Box is reflected in the twelve images of glacial oranges on the cover. These twelve artistically crafted images are staggered, with each orange depicted from an angle, representing a full scale of deliciousness and superior quality. This establishes a visual hierarchy and contributes to a fuller and more vibrant appearance. The number twelve holds an immense cultural and emotional implication within traditional Chinese culture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The team meticulously selected and simplified the key characteristics of the glacial orange, including its rounded form, the unique orange color, and the delicate texture of peels. They ensured that the design preserved the essence of the orange and remained easily identifiable through smooth and simple lines, allowing consumers to readily recognize the attributes of the product. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Operation procedure: unfastening the rope belt, lifting the lid, and removing the glacialoranges from the partitions. The folding design enhances interactivity and enjoyment, resembling a miniature picture book that effectively showcases product details and regional scenery. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project commenced on September 12, 2024, in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, and concluded on December 15, 2024, in the same location. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Regarding materials, the primary structure of the gift box is constructed from biodegradable and eco-friendly rigid cardboard. The surface is coated with a gloss overlay film to enhance its texture and resistance to wear. Four-color printing is employed to exhibit the design and text, while laser and hot stamping techniques are applied in areas to enhance the visual appeal. Precise die-cutting and molding of the internal partitions are implemented to secure and protect fruits. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 212 x 347 x 90mm TAGS: Package, Orange, Emotion, Culture, Design, Branding RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The primary visual features twelve oranges and the number twelve exemplifies perfect mathematical symmetry. This number holds particular significance in Chinese culture, representing the total number of strokes in the characters for family, lover, and friend. It is often viewed as a symbol of completeness and integrity, aligning seamlessly with the positive sentiments conveyed by the glacial orange gift box. CHALLENGE: In addition to highlighting the superior quality of the oranges, the team aimed to reflect the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Chenzhou, the origin of the glacial oranges. Thish was intended to assist farmers there in boosting sales and supporting agricultural products. The solution is embodied in the twelve oranges depicted on the cover, complemented by the landscape and geographical indication buildings illustrated on the back.
