DESIGN NAME: Lumin Wave
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Pendant
INSPIRATION: This design was inspired by the visual rhythm of sound waves, reflecting the interplay between light and form. Motivated by the belief that lighting can serve as both a functional and artistic medium, I explored innovative approaches to material use and production methods. My background in industrial design guided the integration of aesthetics and engineering to enhance spatial perception through sensory experience.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Lumin Wave is a vertically structured pendant lamp inspired by acoustic waveforms. Its spiral mesh diffuser enhances spatial depth while softening light dispersion. The combination of brushed aluminum and wood ensures visual balance. Integrated LED technology offers energy efficiency and durability, making the design both a sculptural centerpiece and a functional lighting solution.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This lighting design is an innovative solution that adds a warm atmosphere to the space by being suspended from the ceiling. The wave-shaped details enrich the light distribution, while the integrated LED modules provide a homogeneous and eye-friendly illumination. Users can adjust the light color and brightness to create different ambiances. Thanks to its high-quality materials and energy-efficient structure, it offers a long-lasting and sustainable lighting experience.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The design process of Lumin Wave started in March 2025 and was completed in April 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design was crafted using CNC-machined wooden bodies and laser-cut metal details. Light modules were integrated with specialized optical elements for diffusion and directional optimization. The wave form was generated through parametric modeling techniques, ensuring precision in manufacturing. High-efficiency LED technology was optimized for thermal management and longevity. Material selection prioritized aesthetics, durability, and sustainability, balancing functionality with an innovative visual language.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The Lumin Wave features a sleek, elongated cylindrical form measuring 1800 mm in length with a diameter of 100 mm. Its slim profile ensures even light distribution while maintaining an elegant, floating appearance. The structure is crafted from high-quality wood, offering both warmth and visual refinement. Precision engineering and integrated lighting technology allow the piece to function as both a sculptural object and an efficient illumination solution.
