| DESIGN NAME: Vitality Orange PRIMARY FUNCTION: Gym INSPIRATION: A. Rhythmic Space Inspired by urban residents' desire for a balanced, healthy lifestyle, the design uses curved elements to create a rhythmic space that blends fitness and cafe culture. It caters to young people's need for personalization, interaction, and a space for both exercise and relaxation. B. Vibrant Orange The use of bright orange, paired with simple lines and functional furniture, creates a stylish yet practical design that appeals to young people and encourages active participation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Objective: This project is an innovative gym that merges fitness and leisure, offering a dynamic space where young people can socialize and exercise. The design breaks from traditional gyms by using an open layout that blends fitness, leisure, and workspaces, creating a flexible, multifunctional environment. Approach: Flowing curves are employed to infuse the gym with rhythm and style. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This project is a community space that combines fitness, leisure, and social interaction. The design encourages human interaction through an open layout and flexible zoning. The fitness area and leisure café are closely connected, offering a variety of activity options to meet diverse needs. Large windows allow natural light to flood the space, enhancing its openness and comfort. The overall design improves the residents' quality of life by promoting health, while also creating a social and relaxing environment, optimizing space utilization, and enhancing the user experience. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2024 in Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province and finished in December 2024 in Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The project adheres to environmental protection and sustainability principles, using Wood-Plastic Composites bamboo charcoal wood metal panels and Wood-Plastic Composites bamboo charcoal wood high-gloss white boards, which offer high strength, stability, and eco-friendliness. The bamboo charcoal wood material is formaldehyde-free, effectively purifies the air, and eliminates odors, in line with carbon neutrality principles. This material allows for direct installation, reducing construction time, and features functions such as grooving and edge folding to address closure issues. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The maximum size of the Wood-Plastic Composites bamboo charcoal wood wall panel is 1200mm x 8mm x 6000mm. The Wood-Plastic Composites bamboo charcoal wood fiberboard features eco-friendliness, ease of installation, fire and water resistance, and excellent sound insulation. It meets the European Union standard formaldehyde standard, preventing harmful formaldehyde emissions. TAGS: Gym, sports, health, coffee, social, leisure RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Enhancing Appeal and Promoting Healthy Living: By combining fitness and cafe areas, the project creates a unique space that attracts young people and families. It meets fitness needs while offering a social, relaxing environment, boosting commercial value. Sustainable Design: Eco-friendly materials like the Wood-Plastic Composites bamboo charcoal wood panels emphasize sustainability, aligning with growing industry focus on ecological responsibility. CHALLENGE: Challenge The challenge was to integrate fitness, leisure, social, and work functions while maintaining independence and avoiding overlap. Design Solution Movable partitions and smart furniture systems enabled flexible space transitions, adapting to varying needs. This approach balanced functionality, aesthetics, and cost while ensuring commercial and practical goals were met.
