UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Inspired by the elegance of Baroque architecture and the lush gardens of Versailles, this earring combines graceful arcs, vibrant emeralds, and a central clock face with a mother-of-pearl base, symbolizing the nurturing spirit of women. The lab-grown diamonds offer sustainable luxury, while the design fuses French history, nature, and modern craftsmanship to empower women to express their elegance and environmental conscience through timeless, eco-friendly jewelry. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This earring design offers a blend of elegance and functionality with its unique clock face and sustainable materials. The key frames include the central clock face made of mother-of-pearl, flanked by lab-grown emeralds and diamonds. The design operates as a statement piece, offering versatility with its subtle elegance, while the lab-grown materials ensure eco-friendliness. The polished finish and precise craftsmanship elevate its aesthetic, providing both luxury and sustainability, delivering a superior result for conscious fashion. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in Auguest 2024 in France and concluded in December 2024. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design process blends traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. Each piece is meticulously handmade, showcasing refined polishing techniques and attention to detail. The sustainable materials used, such as lab-grown diamonds and emeralds, are ethically sourced, ensuring luxury with responsibility. The design draws inspiration from French art and culture, seamlessly merging elegance with eco-consciousness. Advanced production methods maintain precision while honoring the artisanal spirit, resulting in timeless, sustainable jewelry. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 21mm x 5.3mm x 38mm TAGS: Finesse Diamond Watch Earrings, Diamond Earrings, Emerald Earrings, Watch Earrings, Earrings RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This earring stems from deep design research, blending Baroque elegance, Versailles’ gardens, and sustainability. We studied historical jewelry, architecture, and nature’s symbolism to create a piece reflecting resilience and femininity. Using archival research, expert input, and material testing, we refined the design with lab-grown emeralds, diamonds, and a mother-of-pearl clock face. This fusion of history and eco-luxury empowers women while redefining fine jewelry with purpose. CHALLENGE: We faced two production challenges. First, incorporating a real moving hour hand required a mechanism (a watch movement), adding weight and reducing comfort. To enhance wearability while preserving symbolism, we chose decorative hour hands. Second, using gemstones as the cover obstructed visibility and altered the design. We selected a white mother-of-pearl base for contrast and glass for clarity, ensuring elegance and functionality to achieve the desired effect.
