INSPIRATION: Timeless Grove is an interactive design solution that revitalizes the nanjing watch factory site, a former industrial zone, by integrating digital technology with ecological renewal. this project redefines how visitors experience industrial heritage, green innovation, and community driven sustainability. through smart navigation, gamified carbon rewards, and augmented reality enhanced heritage exploration, the park provides an immersive and engaging way for visitors to interact with history, nature, and environmental consciousness.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Timeless Grove transforms a former industrial site into a sustainable and interactive public space. The app integrates smart navigation, gamified carbon tracking, and augmented reality heritage exploration. Visitors explore eco-friendly trails, complete tasks, and earn carbon points for environmental actions. By blending digital engagement with ecological restoration, the project connects history, nature, and community, promoting sustainable urban renewal.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Visitors scan a quick response code at the park entrance to activate a personalized experience. The app provides smart path recommendations using augmented reality assisted navigation. Augmented reality overlays past industrial structures onto the landscape, visualizing the transformation of the site. Users engage in gamified eco challenges such as walking, waste sorting, and plant recognition, earning carbon points based on their reduced carbon footprint. These points can be redeemed for rewards within the park or used for discounts at participating merchants.
