DESIGN NAME: Genipabu
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Buffet
INSPIRATION: The Genipabu Sideboard/Buffer is inspired by the stunning Genipabu Dunes, where the wind sculpts the sands into enchanting landscapes. A landmark in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, the dunes offer a unique experience to visitors. Their rhythmic triangular structures also serve as a small wine cellar. The design captures the fluidity of wind-shaped sands, forming sinuous curves that create striking visual textures.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: An outstanding feature of the Genipabu Sideboard is its seamlessly integrated wine storage, where the rhythmic triangular structures echo the dynamic formations of the dunes. Additionally, the door handles, sculpted with smooth, flowing curves, mimic the wind-carved shapes of the sand, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. This fusion of form and purpose makes the piece not only a statement in design but also a tribute to nature’s artistry
