DESIGN NAME: AI Point of View
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Digital Animation
INSPIRATION: This project was inspired by the reinterpretation of Korea and Seoul through a unique visual perspective. Drawing from traditional Korean aesthetics and color palettes, it integrates neon and cyberpunk elements to create a visually immersive experience. By reimagining urban landscapes with modern digital techniques, the project explores new possibilities in visual storytelling, aiming to push the boundaries of contemporary design in digital media.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: AI Point of View reinterprets Seoul nightscape by blending Korean traditions with modern city visuals. Using bold colors, rhythmic compositions, and dynamic camera movements, it surpasses conventional AI video constraints by adopting an ultra wide format. This innovation enhances its impact on large digital screens while expanding AI driven media art creative scope, offering a fresh take on the fusion of heritage and contemporary design.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This project operates as an audiovisual journey through AI generated perspectives of Seoul. The visuals dynamically transition between abstract and hyper detailed representations, engaging viewers with a fluid motion experience. By layering multiple AI models, the artwork achieves a seamless yet intricate depth. Designed for both large scale digital screens and online platforms, it provides an immersive experience adaptable to various viewing environments.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in December 2023 in Seoul and was officially completed and released on March 1, 2024. Over two and a half months, the development process involved extensive AI generated visual experimentation and refinement. The final work was publicly released online, showcasing a dynamic and immersive reinterpretation of Seoul nighttime atmosphere.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This project was created using Stable Diffusion Deforum, ComfyUI, and Runway Gen2, employing Latent Diffusion Models for Text to Image and advanced Image to Video techniques. Frame Interpolation ensured smooth motion, while Topaz AI and Magnific enhanced resolution. The audio, custom-composed by a professional music producer, was meticulously mixed to synchronize with the visuals, creating a seamless audiovisual experience.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project is produced in an ultra-wide format with a resolution of 3840 x 1392 pixels, designed to maximize visual impact across diverse display environments, including large digital screens. The aspect ratio extends beyond the conventional cinematic standard, offering new creative possibilities for immersive storytelling. The final output is delivered as a high bitrate 4K video, ensuring optimal clarity and vibrancy.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This research focuses on AI driven visual storytelling to explore new aesthetic possibilities in digital media. The objective was to push the boundaries of AI generated animation through experimental workflows. Using generative AI, thousands of AI generated images and motion sequences were analyzed. The process involved extensive iteration, refining AI outputs to achieve artistic consistency. The findings highlight AI potential in digital design, impacting creative industries and expanding artistic expression.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge was achieving artistic consistency with generative AI. At the time, AI video technology was limited, often causing distortions, cultural inaccuracies, and unstable camera movements. Overcoming these issues required iterative testing, refining prompts, and post processing. To address AI limitations in complex camera work, 3D motion design was combined with AI driven video processing. Frame interpolation was also applied to smooth transitions and enhance motion stability.
